FROM YOUR BREAKDOWN TO YOUR BREAKTHROUGH (PART TWO)

I am thinking about the Bible character, David. Did you know that shortly before David became king of Israel, his family was stolen from him, and the people who had faithfully followed him were talking about stoning him? He was at the bottom rung of his life. He had to endure hard throes of pains.

However, prior to his becoming king, (1 Samuel 30 v 6) reports that David strengthened himself in the Lord. As a result, David was able to regain the support of his men so that they could chase the enemy and recover all that had been stolen from them. In the next chapter of David's life, he became king. You may be discouraged right now, but in the next chapter of your life, you will see the vision. So don't give up. Don't surrender. Don't accept anything less than total victory because you are closer than you think.

When a baby is about to be delivered, the awaiting mother experiences serious pain. First, second, third month rolls by and she still feels the normal way. In the ninth month, the pain gets even more intense.

Joel Osteen, in one of his books, shares this experience. While he was supporting the hands of his pregnant wife, she turned to him and slapped his arm violently. He could not retaliate because he knew she did that out of the pains she was facing. He only held her tighter. Such are the painful experiences you get before anything worthwhile comes around, so stick with it. Remember the famous words of Napoleon Hill: Every adversity has within it the seeds of an equivalent or greater benefit.

You are closer than you think. Get set for eudaemonic experiences in the twelve months of this year. Happy new year!
