LIFE LESSONS FROM THE BAMBOO TREE

Have you heard about the Chinese bamboo tree before? It is a tree that is quite unique because only a patient farmer can go through the process of planting the tree and waiting for its growth. For the first four years after planting a bamboo tree, you would not find anything on the ground. However, within this period, the Chinese bamboo tree is developing a massive root system underground. 

After the first four years when you could not find anything on the ground, the Chinese bamboo tree grows as high as 80 feet in its fifth year. Eighty feet growth just in one year.





Your fifth year result just like that of the bamboo tree is ahead but I want to encourage you not to be weighed down by the four years process when it seems like nothing is growing. 

Just like the bamboo tree, you have to realize that there are better days in your future different from the process of the present you may be going through. The lonely season, the discouraging season and the seemingly stagnant season of the moment have been deliberately put there to strengthen your capacity for the future God has in store for you and once you are prepared, then God can propel you into your destiny. Don’t break down because there is a breakthrough ahead, Peace.

The experiment is this: Try taking a container and put in it, carefully selected big stones. Make sure that the stones are big and put them at the bottom of the container. Now place on top of the container stones of smaller sizes. By now you would have a container with small stones on top and big stones underneath. The next thing is that you shake the container. What would you find? You would find that the smaller stones wuld find their way to the bottom while bigger stones will find their way to the top.
